What to do for allergy eyes?

Because of the spring weather and all of the allergens it brings, my eyes are very swollen, itchy, and bloodshot. I have be using an antihistamine Visine and icing my eyes but it hasn't made much of a difference. Any suggestions to help make the swelling go down and purely overall help with the nasty appearance of my eyes?
Answers:     Do you have other symptoms excluding your eyes? If so, you may want to try a systemic antihistamine such as loratadine (generic Claritin). Otherwise the antihitamine eye drops are a good choice. You may want to try an eye drop with a decongestant in it to serve with the redness.
I know this is going to nouns real weird but it is a trick that has be passed down my family for years, and i get real doomed to failure hayfever.
Get 2 tea bags and put tham in a cup with boiling hose let it stew for 2mins and take out tea bags. put on a plate/saucer contained by the fridge till v.cold, then rest on your eyes for a while the tea will help swelling and cold will help itching- it works for adjectives my family and friends
hope this helps
Make an appointment near an allergist. If you act now, you can probably see one in July, that's the slow season.
benadryl, claritin, zyrtec
