What types of noodles are wheat or gluten free?

Ask for rice noodles - these are much thinner, almost like bristles. Also ask them to use no soy sauce, as that contains wheat. Sweet and sour sauce is half soy sauce, so unless they use gluten free soy sauce to make it, it's best avoided.
e are also buckwheat noodles, i deliberate they're called soba, but they are mainly used in japan.

Like you said, fries are the merely thing that's almost always gluten free - though macdonalds fries are not! because they don't use plain potato, they mix up potato and flour to make them. Many salads are also gluten free, so long as they don't own pasta or croutons included. Also watch out for the sauce.
