Lactose intolerance issue?
i was never lactose intolerant until i took this antibiotic for a throat infection back in November. since later, I've had all the symptoms of lactose intolerance. gas upon eating dairy products, bloating, diarrhea and gas. Its a bit irritating. So, i was just wondering what i could do other than taking a dairy aid. any cheap ways of fixing it? my diet use to consist of almost adjectives diary products. any suggestions?
i'd say-so don't eat so much dairy but that's a duh. but seriously, start out eating little by little and slowing upping your intake that way your body approaching gets used to it again? also, watch out for butter too. the doc said i had to stop drinking butter when i was breastfeeding because my babe was lactose intolerant.
oh yeah. you could always travel for dairy free stuff. some of it tastes pretty normal. lactose free milk etc. i don't like soy though.
rt does not contain lactose.
Also, when you do devour dairy products, use lactaid, It is available in any drug store and all you do is take some of the pills while ingestion the dairy product. they work very well.
Usually the problems that antibiotics cause to our digestive systems is that they kill the good microbes in our intestines that help us to digest our food. The usual fix for that is to drink some yogurt every day that has active germs cultures in them. Dannan is one brand that has active cultures. Usually that fixes the problem surrounded by time.
Lactose intolerance is caused by the pancreas not being able to produce the enzyme, lactase, that allows us to digest lactose. I doubt that the antibiotic hurt your pancreas so your problem next to digesting milk problems should be temporary.
I hope that something I have said has help. Source(s): I used to work as a Registered Nurse.
You are doing all you can. If there be a more convenient way of getting rid of it, we'd all know about it.
