try an over the counter ARM by contac is good it will net you sleepy. but they have some for daytime. I will use a generic brand but it has to look like the ARM to work same color washed out. I've been living with my nagging cough for 35 years, my mother has it , grandmother have it, and my daughter has it. The doctors were too expensive and didn't find anything wrong anyway. The told us once it was dog pelt, chickens, and wool but it doesn't happen all the time.
Coughing is my middle signature! I have allergies, causing postnasal drip which in turn cause the coughing. I'm allergic to pollen, ragweed and cold air. Switch in air temp does it also from outside to inside afterwards I'll start coughing. Also when eating if my throat is a little irritated and food hits a certain bit when swallowing I cough. I use a saline nasal wash and have prescription nasal spray and prescription antiallergy pills. Also you can from this develop an allergic asmtha cough which I have an inhaler for when chest get congested. You should see a doctor to see exactly what is causing this, but it probably is some sort of allergy/sinus connection.
I coughed all the time until I saw an allergy\asthma specialist. I found out had asthma, chronic bronchitis, & allergic to nearly everything.
constally having drainage in my throat, especially when I layed down. Now, when I feel the drainage coming on I clutch my medicine, & I don't have to deal next to it & it stops the itching in the throat.
So, maybe you could see an allergy specialist or an ENT (ear, nose, throat specialist).
Your cough probably flares up when the pollen's procure stirred up, or changes. Or the weather changes. You will probably notice a modification when the weather is damp, that irritates the bronchial tubes causing more cough, & more pphlegmto cause the throat to itch.
Be blessed :) !
