Is allergy medication freshly benadryl?
my mums a chemist and she said she knows that all allergy meds are just benadryl..however my muzzle is always running when i go outside..i really feel similar to i need meds but benadryl only puts me to sleep...:/ hm......
Answers: Your Mum is not completely accurate on this point, yes all allergy medicine are antihistamines so they are the same class of drug. They don't however have the same side effect profile. Benadryl is one of the more sedating drugs within this class. Claritin and Zyrtec are among the least. My personal favorite are the claritin dissolving tablets. Claritin D works really well for me and doesn't make me drowsy at all. You can buy it over the counter.
