Allergies? My eyes itch approaching crazy..?
So, for the past few days, my eyes have begun to itch to the point that the skin around them hurts to touch. I've be rubbing them, but last night, started putting a damp, semi-frozen washcloth over them which help, but only temporarily (about 30min-1hour).
re my eyes started itching, the roof of my mouth and top of the back of my throat itched really bad too.
The itch is so bothersome that sometimes I feel like crying. My dad just give me some medicine about an hour ago and that seems to be helping (for now), but any thinking as to what could have caused it? Or how to fix it permanently?
Thanks
Answers: I have suffered with doomed to failure allergies, so I did a bit of research and have found things that really work and are much better for you than claritin etc..
- First, your body makes histamine when it encounters something it can't pedal. Histamine is made in mucus membranes - your eyes and nose, for example, which is why you can get a runny snout and sore, watery eyes. The good news is that you can cut down on the amount of histamine contained by your body, but simply washing it out. Splash your eyes with cold water when they bother you. You really can wipe it away, and the cold water reduces swelling and itching..
rtain foods - the white subdivision of a grapefruit, cut down on histamine production, as do onions, papaya and broccoli.. you might want to look into that..
If you see a doctor, be prepared for him/her to tell you "just take claritin" etc.. but these drugs are not the answer - they enjoy many side effects..
That happens to me too. you cant exactly "stop it permanently" but the best way is not to do anything to it. itll just go and get worse. as for ur mouth, eat lots of solids
I'd also recommend you try some eye drops and perhaps speak to a pharmacist about allergy medications a short time ago to keep the symptoms at bay until you can identify the cause of the problem.
As someone who can sometimes suffer near allergies, I know how maddening it is to have the soreness and the itchiness so I hope this helps!

As your alien dog is a different breed, his fur will be giving out different allergens to the ones you're used to - try following the advice about keeping him out of your room and getting rid of any dog hairs etc. by cleaning up and airing the room, shifting the bed etc. and see how that works out.
