Allergic hypersensitivity - any suggestion?
Hi! Over the past 24 hours or so, I've come up in a minor allergic reaction on my arms, legs, a bit on my chest and buttocks. Not to put too finer point on it, my arms and buttocks are especially itchy and it's murder to not cut into! I've tried several cold creams including E45 and Aqeous, but nothing so far has helped unruffled it or reduce the redness and bumps.
worst thing is that I've no notion what could've caused such a reaction. I haven't changed washing powder, and I don't contemplate I've eaten anything unusual lately! Something obviously has cause it...but yeah, not a clue.
Any advice please? It's driving me insane!
a cortisone cream to fight the itch. At darkness you can take benadryl also, it can cause drowsiness, so do not drive.
It sounds like urticaria.
it could be a change of washing powder, laundry powder, shampoo, conditioner, perfume, body soap perfume cleaning spray, pretty much anything different you've been exposed to ......... own you changed any of your personal care products or laundry powder lately?? try ditching your laundry powder and getting a low allergy or ecologically friendly one and see if that changes things ....... in the meantime, only just dump a cupfull of white vinegar into the rinse cycle of your washing and this will eliminate the nasty sludge and chemical residue not here on your clothes from commercial varieties of laundry powder.
i'm sorry you're in such discomfort mate ...... to resolve the ghastly itch in the meantime, dance get yourself some white vinegar and put about a cupfull into a bathtub and overrun the tub with warm water.... carry in the bath and soak in that for 15 minutes ...... individual carefull not to get vinegar and water in your eyes or it will burn ...... the bitter mantle of your skin has been stripped and the white vinegar and warm hose down dilution will realkalise the ph level ..... by doing this the dreadfull irritation should be gone...... the vinegar and warm water mixture will remove any chemical buildup / residue gone by commercial shampoos and conditioners body soaps etc and also leave your skin silky and smooth.
