......Claratin backing!!?
How does claratin work and why can't I take more than 1 in 24 hours? I took one at 7pm and was thinking of taking another one the subsequent morning (10am). Is that enough of a gap to take another?

Hi,
generic heading for Claritin is loratadine and pseudoephedrine.
Desloratadine is an antihistamine that reduces the natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, liquid eyes, and runny nose.
Claritin-D is used to treat sneezing, cough, runny or stuffy nose, itchy or liquid eyes, hives, skin rash, itching, and other symptoms of allergies and the common cold.
The reason why your suppose to bear it every 24 hours is because that is how long it lasts for. An no you should not take more that the intend dosage to avoid overdosing. Over dose of the medication may motive restless or nervous, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, warmth or tingly intuition, or seizure (convulsions).
epends on your height and body weight. I lift Claritin for my allergies occasionally, so I've done quite a bit of reading on the matter.
The standard dosage is 10mg. Medical studies showed that 20-30mg actually works best for average-sized adults per daytime, but they can't put that on the label. The only real drawback to taking extra is drowsiness. (If they recommend more than 10mg, consequently they have to say it causes drowsiness on the sign and that's not profitable! lol)
Be careful if it's Claritin-D, though, because that has other things in it. Also, take heed if you're not an adult. Be careful not to overdo, also, because anti-histamines can cause severe damage to your nervous system if you overdose.
Yes, taking another one should be fine. In fact, it'll probably work better. Source(s): Meticulous reading online.
