What to put away if you are lactose intolerant?

I have just been diagnosed as lactose intolerant and want some great food philosophy. I am open to any ideas, I am not picky at all. Also, what are some resteraunts that I could slickly pick something off the menu, and what items would you suggest?

Nothing that's a dairy product..
Just eat lots of cheese and drink lots of milk.
I agree with the above you just own to cut out a few things from your diet not change your hole life. There are plenty of soy based cheeses and yougurts out here and if i were to recomend a milk alt it would be almond breeze by blue diomand brand yummy. It's no big deal to not be able to drink or put away dairy. good luck.
