Allergic to cold weather or cold dampen?
Today, I was outside in the rain for ten to twenty minutes. It be raining pretty heavily. When I went inside, I notice that both of my arms were covered within hives and they were itchy. I looked it up and found an article about a women who breaks out when she swims in cold marine. I get hives when I'm allergic to something, for example, sometimes my dog gives me hives if I hold him, especially when he is wet. Other times when I've be in the rain for a long period, I've gotten hives too. I be in gym, walking outside, and it was raining the whole time. I go inside and saw that I had hives.
, during the winter time, if I'm out in the cold too long, I get bumps on my obverse. They don't itch like the hives after I'm out in the rain. When I be younger, my hands would swell a little bit if I was out contained by the cold for a long time or if it was extremely cold. But if I drink/eat something cold, it doesn't bother me.
I never have shortness of breath. Just hives or bumps. Could this be an allergy to cold weather?
Answers: Sounds more likely to be an allergy to your wash powder/fabric softener - the rain would release this from the clothing and would explain the hives. Could try giving up the softener and switching to a non-bio brand to see if that makes a difference. As for the swelling of the hands surrounded by cold weather, that is normal enough I mull over :)
