What to do something like cat allergy?

I was born highly allergic to cats. Yet, I've lived with cats adjectives my life. My symptoms are generally itchy, watery and red eyes; rash on face and neck; elevated skin when scratched on skin; coughing and wheezing - asthma. With my current three cats my symptoms have lessened over the years. Now I've moved to an apartment for college where on earth a roommate has two cats - and one is particularly furry and sheds a bit. Besides taking benadryl and my inhaler (which isn't all that effective) what else can I do? I can vacuum... should I go and get allergy wipes to wipe away the loose hairs and dander? Where can I get those and how much do they across the world cost? Any other suggestions?
Answers:    It is possible that your elevated symptoms have nothing to do with the cats, but instead are due to another allergens surrounded by the apartment. Is the place moldy? Is there sufficient ventilation? Does the air handler enjoy an allergen-rated filter?
ning is always a good idea, but don't automatically assume that it is the cat's slate. :)

I also wouldn't spend any large amount of money on something that claims to "wipe away allergens" - bleach and water on a paper towel are a short time ago as effective but a lot more economical. I used to buy Swiffer wipes to verbs kitty cat tumbleweeds off of my tile floors, the paper towel solution works just as very well (if not better) for pennies.
