How do you Know When Your Allergic to a Food?

Well, whenever I eat Peanuts or any Peanut related item my tongue starts to itch. Is that normal or am I allergic to it?
Answers:     an allergy is any time your body overreacts to something such as pollen or dust or food. if anything abnormal happen when you eat a certain food then you own an allergy, it might be mild but you still have an allergy.. I'm slightly lactose intollerant, i cant have too much dairy but its mild.
Tell a Doctor. He can determine how much you should be concerned.
Several years ago there was a communication item about a girl that was allergic, then severely allergic. She died when a server on the food procession at school carelessly used the same utensil that have been used for serving peanut butter whatever, for serving another food the girl innocently believed was nontoxic. I suspect you start slightly allergic, then it progresses to severely allergic..... Tell Your Doctor..... It is life threatening.
allergies come contained by two main forms and to varying degrees.... histamine reactions and anaphylactic reaction... itching is a histamine reaction.... if your tongue swells up and you stop breathing, it might be time to stop eating peanuts
Sounds like you are allergic to peanuts. Very insecure, too.
Please go and be tested and carry an aanaphylactic shot to give yourself if you return with a reaction-you could die. An anaphylactic reaction may begin with a tingling sensation, itching, or something else.

people can hold different reactions. itching, bloating, tearing, swelling

But if your tongue is only itching at the moment after eating peanuts after what you need to do is make an appointment with your ancestral doctor and have him or her examine you and possible run some tests to find out if you have an allergic hostile response to peanuts or anything containing peanuts or peanut oil.
