My son who is 15 have be complaining of his trunk hurting at first i a moment ago thought he have sinus problems?
Then he started to have nose bleeds and talking thru the trunk. anyway i took him to the doctor today and she said he had a nose polyp she isnt sure what is going on or how big it is. but he needed to see a specialist. should i be worried or is this common? ( i am worrying anyway)

Answers: Take your doctor's advice and consult with a specialist. He will be the best source to permit you know if you should be worried or not. Btw, polyps are usually benign, but you need to check it out.
Hopefully it's a benign polyp and removal will cure it. My doctor advised me to enjoy polyps and cysts removed as soon as I found them as it's though they could become dangerous. I think they will remove it and everything is going to be fine. My son had a few pre-cancerous moles removed when he be 10-11 and it scared me to death. He's 35 now and can see my butt ! Just get him in as soon as you can and the rest of is will join you surrounded by prayer that it's minor.
May our Creator watch over him.

Polyps are simply little growths, like tumors. I just had tumors/nodules removed from my sung cords & on my Thyroid Glands.
I'm unsure how common i.e.. That will be a question for the specialist. Make a list before going of question.
I'm almost certain your son will go through a battery of test to find out what it is. I went through a barium swallow test and an ultra sound on my collar & throat.
ally think the worse case scenario would be to have it surgically removed (which could be an jammy outpatient surgery -- w/ local anesthesia).
I'm not a doctor or nurse but just wanted to share with you that I too have polyps and had the surgery 8/6/09. My heart goes out to you.
y nose sometimes hurts like by my eyes surrounded by the middle, and its PAIN.
