What would grounds an allergic criticism to shrimp after years of consumption them?
Last night we ate shrimp in white sauce over pasta. All of a sudden my mouth started itching and my lips started to swell. Mind you, I enjoy big lips to begin with. These suckers be huge. Anyway they are back to normal this morning. But what would cause this?
Answers: sorry to hear that sister. you sure it was the shrimp that you get through. maybe it was the pasta sauce, something in that. glad that your mouth is fine this morning. if you have a sneaking suspicion that it was the shrimp, please stay away from eating them for a while. JJJ
You don't have to be born with a Allergy, you can in recent times get one all of a sudden!! weird i know i though like peas in a pod thing u had to be born with it!! if not did u make sure there was anything else within the dish that you have never had or are allergic to?? hope that helps!! Allergies CAN newly randomly develop, and often you won't develop one until AFTER the first exposure. The first time you eat shellfish is your body's first introduction to it. That's when it starts to landscape it as an "invader," for whatever reason. Subsequent times that you eat it, after your body recognizes it and will go after it.....does this make sense? Your allergic spontaneous effect has the potential to also get worse each time you drink it, so beware of that.
don't have to avoid all seafood, just ones next to shells (lobster, shrimp, crab) since they are more similar. Odds are you are ok to eat salmon, tuna, etc. Red meat is no problem at all.
Shrimp and shellfish allergies are linked next to IODINE allergies, so ALWAYS inform your healthcare provider that you are allergic to shrimp/iodine. Some medical tests use iodine (such as CT scan dye) so you are at high risk to react to that, as okay....just an FYI.
