How do you know if your allergic to anesthesia?

...And how do you find out if you are or not? Is there some sort of test that they do before you progress into surgery or something?
Answers:     Possibly they do a assessment before.
If you own vomiting or nausea after your surgery. You find out after you wake up if you are sick to your stomach. No, I don't believe they have any tests. I hold been under twice
ip surgery 7 hours
I never had any side effects.
Generally you don't [know]-- Oral, Ocular, and Nasal tests can be done for local anesthesia allergy testing, but those aren't typically done either.

Being allergic to anesthesia is a relatively uncommon trait to possess, and easy identifiable when it occurs as a result of the anesthetic. IE: Anaphylaxis can be reversed near epinephrine very quickly. Blood testing is collectively done to test for I.V. or pulmonary allergies.
n, I wouldn't worry about it. Generally you are asked any in history or before the procedure is done if you are allergic to any medications. Of which you would respond going on for anyone in your family having a impulse to anesthesia.. and then precautions would be taken.

If someone is allergic to anesthesia it is very uncommon for it not to be present contained by their immediate family as well.
