Can I purloin Alka-Seltzer and Zyrtec at one and the same time?
I have viral pharyngitis and it's steadily leaving, but I'm feeling some pressure contained by my throat as if there is something stuck in there. I did some research roughly speaking my problem and it turns out it's reflux and I should take something like Alka-Seltzer or Tums to relieve it. But I'm also taking Zyrtec daily due to my allergies and viral pharyngitis. Can these two medicine be taken together without some sort of bad side effect?

Answers: As other, my answer is 'talk to your doctor'. Of course, I am sure you hear that a lot from your TV (Ask your doctor if ____ is right for you!), but this time, I'm not advertizing!
You'l have to make conversation to your doctor because if you are taking any other drugs (at all), there may be drug interactions. Don't take it into your own hands to do research, because your Dr. know better than WebMD. And your doctor has a full and complete list (I hope!) of all your medication and illnesses or problems. You should tell him/her about your symptoms, and your idea of taking Alka-Seltzer, and see what he/she think of it. I am not a doctor, so I can't tell you, and I don't think that any non-dr on this site can tell you truthfully, or short being able to cause you problems!
