Allergic response to fruit?

Every time I have fruit such as cherries, apples, peaches, really anything that has a skin you eat I carry an allergic reaction, very itchy throat and extremely swelled lips. I other figured it was because I didnt wash it honourable enough and was allergic to pesticides or something but even when I was them sometimes I hold the reaction. It doesnt happen when I eat any vegetables so in a minute I am even more confused as to what it was from. Does this happen to anyone else?? Please help!!

Beware of the possibility of have or developing a latex allergy.
The fruits you mentioned are all related to proteins found in hevea brasilius tree.

r> Some food and plant proteins cross react next to latex. This means if you are allergic to ragweed, mugwort, tomato, avocado, or banana, (just a few examples) -chances are higher you may develop an allergy to natural rubber latex. Latex comes from a plant, (rubber tree) hevea brasilius, which mechanism it's a plant allergy.

Any exposure can result in an allergy, some groups are more susceptible than others. Usually people don't learn they hold an allergy until they're at a dentist appt, or having surgery where latex gloves are in their bodies - and the latex allergic protein is contained by the air on powders being breathed into your lungs.
to your doctor if you even suspect you may have an allergy to pure rubber latex. Source(s): http://latexallergylinks.tripod.com/
