Is near any gluten surrounded by oats?

I am concerned about gluten and am wondering if and how much gluten there is in oats?
Answers:
I am on a gluten free diet and have been told both yes and no. I think that the jury is still out on this one.
y and save my intake of oats to a minimum and find that I have little trouble with them.

Contact your local ceoliac (sp?) society and they should be able to facilitate you.
Most of the sources I have read say aloud that the major problem with oats is that they are usually contaminated with wheat. Gluten-free oats are available and can be tolerated by most celiacs.
One counsel I've heard is that someone should be gluten-free for one year before they try GF oats. While oats do not have gluten contained by them, some celiacs just don't tolearte them well until their bodies have heal.
Oats are gluten free.
they do contain small amounts of gluten mainly because they are made on the same production line as gluten foods
dom foods make an "uncontaminated Oat" which is 100% gluten free.
You can buy gluten free oats, but the majority of oats do hold different degrees of gluten in them.
