15mth boy have phlegm........how to cure it?
My son had a fever which went on up and down for abt 5 days. He's still alive gets lethargic after giving him paracetamol for babies prescribed by his pd. Deal is i really am uncomfortable going on for giving my young precious child medications. I really think we should bequeath their young immune system a good strong start and not let medication interfere with their natural antibodies' healing ability. I don't want his immune system to become weakened and ends up relying on medications for every single slight ailment(common cold/flu).
fifth day i brought him to doc, doc prescribed antibiotics 'motive other than fever, only the phlegm is indicating something. Fact that confusion lingered for 5 days could mean some 2nd stage bacterial infection. So i'm not clear if the antibiotics is for the phlegm or whatever. And i'm really worried so after giving him the final dose of restlessness med, his fever never came back! Hurray and i never started the antibiotics. I didn't regard as it was very okay or right to start a 15mth old child on that, besides my son's really live except he kept trying to cough out his phlegm and ends up vomitting hence his appetite is pretty bad now though he stills eat rather and drinks some water every now and then. So bring up to date me, am I a stubborn fool or a worry-wart or what? Is what i'd done okay or very wrong? I mean i am an adult i can switch the wreck my body's been cultured from over the years of junk food and whatnot and monitor my health via my senses and adjectives, so i see a doctor for prescriptions when i fall ill. But so long as it concerns my son, i am very unwilling to present him anything unless safe and necessary. PD gave him cough med and something to clear his phlegm and airway, i've be giving him those religiously to ease his discomfort of coughing the phlegm out. Also i want him to recover to his old bubbly self so my contained by laws won't judge me. They always want me to medicate him!! Why?? Fools.
Father contained by law wanted me to give him another dose of hallucination med that day even though the fever's gone so he'll recover fully. I said paracetamol or fever don't work that path. It is FEVER, and it is not to be cured that way, and he kept arguing with me with a stubborn adjectives displeased tone and look i wanted to smack his mouth there and then for still overconfident to be a doc when he got his wife to the A&E the last time he made her eat his prescription pills. Turns out she be allergic to it she almost died. But i can't tell that to his face can i?! So here i am grumbling on and on.
as far as thinking that giving antibiotics at his age will weaken his immune system for the rest of his enthusiasm, My bro and I are living proof that it's not true. We got sick every once and a while when we were little, and were given antibiotics. But ever since something like 5th grade- we barely even get colds.
Do more research on both sides of he issue because it sounds to me in the path you speak about antibiotics that you've only heard how evil they apparently are. Yes, some ethnic group overuse them for sure, but there are definitely times where the benefits outweigh the risks.
