Allergic to eating/drinking from stainless steel containers?

I have never had an allergy in my time, and have never shown any symptoms of my body not agreeing with any substance until last hours of darkness, when I drank some hot tea out of a stainless steel thermos and immediately felt extremely sick to my stomach. It might also be noted that I could essence (or thought I could taste) the metal in the tea. I very rarely drink or put away off stainless steel, so I can't align this with any other experience. I wear a stainless steel watch that give me no troubles and have never had issues with nickel, any. I have an appointment set up with a doctor for a few days from now, but I be just wondering if anyone else has also experienced this, and what it might signify.
Answers:     Stainless steel is hypo-allergenic, as proven by your watch. Think "stainless steel post" in respect to earrings.
is acidic, so it's more probable to leach things out of a container than water, but still, it shouldn't have been competent to leach much out of stainless steel.

Was the tea brewed in the Thermos, or some other container? A ceramic tea pot, perhaps? It's possible that the problem come from that, not the Thermos.
