Why do my hand bring back red and hot after I drink beer or wine?
After I consumer beer, any malt beverage, or wine, my hands get really red, uncomfortably hot, and sometimes tingle. This has happen every time I've drunk beer or wine, but rarely has it happened beside spirits. I do not recall it happening since I first began drinking, possibly a couple years at most. It lasts for about 30 minutes and then subsides, but it seem to manifest itself mostly in my hands, which feel incredibly dry, red, and hot to the touch after consumption. I cannot find any information on the internet pertaining to this distinctive symptom.
Answers: Only your hairdresser knows for sure.
does you face get red too? do your ears carry quite warm?
are probably not looking within the right place for the information you need.
look up the enzymes alcohol dehydrogenase and acetaldehyde dehydrogenase.
here is a simplified breakdown.
st half of adjectives those from Asian decent have this deficiency hence it is call Asian flush also Jenson flush.
they can't break down the alcohol, or more correctly the acetaldehyde that the alcohol becomes in our body & this causes a systemic dilation of the blood vessel in your entire body, but sometimes some places are more effected than others (i.e. your hands) and bam! warmness, hotness, flushing, sometimes tingling, swelling & itching.
