Anyone know a cure for cat allergies?
I've just got a new gorgeous cat. Only problem is that I appear to have developed an allergic reaction to him which is strange because I have never be allergic to cats in the past. My eyes go really red and blotchy and itch resembling mad. I really don't want to get rid of him. Any suggestions? x

or the cat goes, sorry.
dude, it will NEVER get better.
I'm sorry, I know you don't want to hear that... everyone's body is different but I know in my defence I took every prescription imaginable, i washed her, took her to the vet to try to find a solution, I evene had allergy shots for 2 years and i still couldn't hold her short being completely miserable. my best advice is to either try to seize rid of him while he's still young or try all these remedies ASAP to see if they work for you and maybe you can hang on to him. it's much harder to get rid of an adult cat.
in the shutting down, I kept my cat but I can never hold her or let her sleep in bed with me. it kinda sucks.
might want to consider allergy shots if you don't want to get rid of the cat.
An allergist can test to see if you really are allergic to cats and what would be the best course of action (shots or medication).
Is he long-hair or short-hair domestic? I hold 2 shorthair and 1 long haired, so have a bad problem with shedding. If you will use something approaching the Furminator (got mine at Petco for about $40) and brush him every day or every 2 days, this should help seriously. I also got 1 of those sponges to clean the hair rotten the furniture.
