Is it ok for my mother to pinch Azithromycin?

Alright, my mother has an extended array of things she's allergic too. Medicines include Penicillin and neosporin. Now while we're no doctor, she saw that neosporin has something called neomycin contained by it. We just want to make sure it's ok for her to take the Zithromax. About two years ago she go into anafalaxis due to accidentally ingesting penicillin, so you can understand why we're so cautious. Can someone please tell me if it is ok for her to help yourself to it?
