Allergic to anesthesia or anti- nausea meds?

I always puke after anesthesia. Tonscillectomy, and 2 c- sections. Before my youngest daughter, I told the anesthesiologist. He gave me something for nausea. I infer it was a orange liquid. I still puked during the transfer. I then started coughing and itching on my face while the OB was closing me up. I feel like I couldn't breathe! I need to have surgery on Thursday- standard anesthesia. The anesthesiologist is giving me 3 anti- nausea meds plus something for anxiety. Will I be sick? I'm freaking out!
Answers:    My suggestion is to ask for a scopolomine patch (Transderm Scop). That plus Decadron and Zofran ought to work pretty well. Some people just are pukers, though, no concern what we do.
liquid you got with the C-section be Bicitra, which is an antacid meant to reduce the damage to your lungs if you aspirate. It's not antiemetic, and I suppose it's actually the opposite. Lots of people throw that up. The itching be probably from narcotics in your spinal. Not an allergy - a normal effect of the meds, it's just exaggerated when given spinally.

I don't suggest you have any allegies - you're just one of the unlucky ones who responds to anesthesia by turning your stomach inside out.

out what mix of meds, and refuse them they have lots too chose from and yes! i just have shoulder surgery the anesthetist said deep sleep with anti vomit and nausea well i puked 7 times! post op i stayed white, it took 3 hrs previously i was ok i refused fenegren as i had plenty meds , my body works both ends ! i warned them and still covered the blankets , i told them someone needs to be with me, but they thought i'd sleep nope i be like a caged animal my body don't like drugs!
