Allow me to clarify re: melanoma Clark's rank 4....?

My melanoma was removed from my L-leg& confirmed as Clark's stage 4 cancer what they would like to do is the normal radial 2cm skin removal from the site and sentinal lymph node removal for to see if it's spread that far. My issue human being that if it is cancerous and while your still on the table they will do a complete lymph node removal of the areas lymph nodes in my groin ( which I feel at that point would be a waste of time and produce more discomfort to me after the removal... for several weeks I have been noticing unusual tweeks of stomach-ache and feeling slightly nauseated, plus mild headaches, some shooting& aching pains surrounded by numerous areas of my bod as well. It seems to me atleast that most likely it have already taken hold ) This could as well be an overactive imagination after getting such news but I don't think so as I am 63yrs frail and know my bod pretty well by now.
There can be complications from having an entire lymph node chain removed and those kind of complications do not usually just go away. It doesn’t always transpire, but it is a risk.

However, they will not do this as it doesn’t change your overall survival and so there would be no benefit to put you at risk like that. Doing a lymph node sampling is basic to stage and to determine treatment and prognosis. You may be mildly uncomfortable afterward, but it shouldn’t be too bad. The nodes in the groin are effortless to get to. You always have the final utter in everything and the doctors have to abide by your wishes.
n’t know if you have see an oncologist yet. They are usually better at explaining than surgeons are. I suggest you write all your question down as you estimate of them and take the list with you to your first appointment. This is when adjectives the decisions will be made. Another set of ears always helps, so pilfer someone with you. Preferably a wife, girlfriend, even a daughter – a female. We tend to ask more questions.

Remember within is a big difference between level, grade and stage. As I mentioned to you before this is a thoroughly unpredictable disease and it is not a straightforward as other cancers are. There are several things to consider when it comes to prognosis. Going by the Clark’s level, a level 4 does enjoy a 50/50 5-year survival rate. However, when you consider the lymph nodes things may change.

Now get those negative thoughts out of your mind and don’t consider for a moment that nasty cancer have taken hold. I hope everything works out well for you. Source(s): I am a cancer registrar.
I'm not sure what your question is, but if it were me (a 59 year old), I would probably tolerate the doctors do as they felt best. Any discomfort will go away with time. The one point I would definitely do is start drinking mangosteen juice. If, as you fear, the cancer have spread through out your body, mangosteen juice may help your body fight it sour, or at least slow it down. If the unusual aches, pain and nausea are unrelateecstatiche cancer, mangosteen juice could help with that as powerfully.
