Is bone density effect if you are a bone marrow Donner?
My daughter is going to take injections to shrink a fiberoid. Her sister needs a bone marrow transplant. Will there be a sense that she cannot donate due to bone density?
Answers: That is something that totally needs to be discussed with both doctors. If it will effect the donation, schedule the donation to appear before the shots, if possible. Most of the time, stem cell donation happens weeks past the transplant anyways, so it can definately be stored.
