Anyone else be through bone cancer? how did you cope near the after affects?
i had bone cancer at the age of 8 and im now 15, i was a moment ago wondering if anyone else had been through the same and how they coped afterwards? low confidence, scare, being on crutches ect :) would be a great help. i have huge scar all down my legs so they could take out my bones and replace them with metal ones, i abhorrence them and i no longer show my legs even in summer. what could i do?

ve at the knee ... and in april it was replaced near a dentures (replaced with metal too)I had a total knee replacement....I don't can`t stand it because I know its the best thing that could happen...think that it could be worse...Please communicate a little more about the dentures and how you felt after and how you touch now ,when you walked etc....
I would like to know and how much chemotherapy you made....because I focus I make too much...
My mom supported me.I love her.I have a very strong character.I was scared and everything at the beginning but later no...ok maybe a little...I accepted the dentures flowing..and I am extremely happy that I am alive amd that nothing happened....the simply thing was that I can't move my big finger from foot and I don't feel a module from the leg but i don't think is something important so I'm happy that this is the merely think

I had Osteogenicsarcoma ( bone cancer) when I was 5 1/2 My leg be amputated but there was complications that resulted in several revisions. So I hear you on the annoying surgery and crutches side of things.
I hold a great family and they really helped me though things. I got a prosthetic leg as soon as I heal up enough and from day one my mom pushed me to walk the best I could and never tender up. I think having a leg gone all together is easier than have gone though a limb salvage.
But the fitting days outweigh the bad.
Just remember that you are beautiful and that cancer is gone and it's never coming back.
he scar are a huge issue for you ask your doctor about revision options, cosmetic make up, or other option.
You can't waste your time hating a part of you. hate the metal replacement bones isn't going to make them go away sadly.
Go out buy yourself an awesome set of two of shorts and feel good about yourself.

ow it's very exciting and a few of the ways in which she has dealt beside it seem very helpful to her.
One concept is to get a dog/cat. There are certain types of dogs that are very sensitive to those beside cancer, such as schnauzers. Dogs also stand for a reminder, because every time they get a year older, or even a day elder, it's a reminder that the cancer isn't winning.
Another thing to try is looking contained by the mirror every time you're feeling down and saying to yourself, "I have cancer; Cancer doesn't enjoy me."
You have to believe that you're in control and that you will do anything to beat this.
