After have thyroid cancer, should my chest have a feeling tight at times and breathing be unwieldy?

I had my thyroid removed along with 2 of my para thyroids due to cancer. Afterwards, I have experienced robust fatigue, my chest being tight, my breathing being labored, my muscles in my arms basically worn out and this is while I am on 150 mg synthroid.
Answers:    Your synthroid might need adjust. Most of the time, drs learn by trial and error on what the person's ideal dosage is, even having to readjust occasionally over the years.
I see the possibility of your medication causing it has been covered. You may also look into other reason. Depending on how long ago the surgery was, you may still be simply recovering and that be a source of the fatigue. Also, your medicine may cause adjectives of those symptoms naturally. Fatigue my also be just another symptom of your cancer because the body is still fighting to make well, therefore your energy will be low in supply. The simple certainty your cancer was in your thyroids would cause breathing problems and tightness contained by your chest. Many people that have problems with thyroids (let alone thyroid cancer) gain immensity because of it. Any weight you may have quickly put on, or have to carry around over the course of time could easily be exhausting your body. This covers all these symptoms. The mass on your chest and the difficulty breathing... and the labor to move your arms. With possible weight gain there is possible heart problems that could result from that. Ask your doctor about it and find it checked out... your doctors should all know all of your symptoms- this includes your primary physician and your oncologist.
Have you had your TSH, free T3, free T4 and PTH (parathyroid) checked? A lot of your symptoms could be from you Synthroid. Are you taking calcium becuase you're missing 2 parathyroids? I am assuming your doctor is suppressing your TSH, however, it might be too suppressed. You might want to get your labs drawn, you might needs your Synthroid familiar. I highly suggest you let your doctor know about these symptoms you are experiencing, especially the chest and breathing issues. Source(s): thyroid cancer tolerant
