Abnormal smear? Symptoms going on for a year, is this impossible?
Hi i'm worried about my friend. She is 30 and a mother of a 10 year old. She got a smear assessment done weeks ago, and she only got this done from pressure by me to get it, as i be visiting a gyne myself. Anyway she moved house and didn't and still hasn't recieved a letter about her result. The doctor ring her 3 weeks ago and asked her did she recieve her letter, to which my friend told her she moved so she didn't. anyway the doctor told her she is sending her to the coloscopy clinic for tests as her smear came rear quiet abnormal. Now my friend has be having some issue's since last year. It started, a year ago, with a extremely bad bleed all over her bed about 20 mins after intercourse. Since next she's been having 'stuff' coming away from her. She said its like a black colour, and even the doc saw it when she be doing the smear, and her doc said it looked like 'flesh'. Now over the past couple of weeks, my friend has be having occasional dizziness. This was her first smear, she didn't get one done after her child be born 10 years ago. Does this sound bad, please be as honest as you can. Thank you.
BTW her appointment is next week next to the clinic.
Answers: It does nouns pretty serious. Unfortunately, this sounds like cervical cancer.
it doesnt nouns promising! but it doesnt always mean its the worse! fingers crossed for your friend! this is why i dont understand why relations dont go for their smears! in the uk they dont do them til 25, i got 2 more years but when they hold out me il jump at the chance to go!
It doesn't sound perfect. I hope she is going to be okay.
Of course it sounds bad, even you know that.
All the symptoms combined sound very bad, but not necessarily cancer...

The other symptoms might be the result of something else - maybe something hormonal.
So maybe yes, maybe no.
Just try not to allow yourself to get worked up until you know for sure because verbs and stress will only make it all a million times worse.
