PET scan versus CT scan near contrast?
Which one is better?
ve melanoma and usually get PET scans. I am waiting on the results on my most modern.
So, if a PET scan shows a small mass that lights up, what are the chanches of a false positive?
I know near a few questions in here, but please answer the best you can.
Answers: I had both. The PET be when my oncologist wanted to check out a total bone scan. The CT was what I usually would get. I'm not sure which is better if any one is at all. Maybe the PET is more expensive.
