Leukemia...what if my husband isn't producing platlets....?

My husband was diagnosed in January....went through the FLAG chemo. During his remission and even presently that the Leukemia is back....he has constantly needed platlet transfusions twice a week and blood about every one to two weeks. Now they are recounting him he can either try the chemo again (which may not work and 50% of killing him somehow OR live off transfusions for as long as that will second.
You know that this is only curable beside stem cell transplant, and probably not even with that. It would be a big chance. So he needs to establish wether or not to push forward with chemotherapy and try for transplant, or to relax and try to enjoy the time he has departed with you and the baby.

In the end, it is his ruling. Please try to love him and support him in whatever he does. You will need to find your courage for the sake of your toddler. If you are living contained by fear, she/he will live in fear also. If you live surrounded by love and courage, she will have that with her all her time.
