Answers:     It depends on whether this next round of chemo shrinks the tumors or not. Only her oncologist can answer this question. Source(s): Health care provider
ovarian cancer??
is one of the worst types as it is often found too late. that was the suitcase with my mom. hopefully the doctors have found it early adequate.
It depends on if the cancer found within her ovary is metastatic from the colon or a separate primary. Source(s): I am a cancer registrar.
Survival probabilities represent trends in large populations. The probabilities do not and cannot predict outcomes for any individual patient.

Every patient is inventive, has different health characteristics, and will respond differently to treatment. The statistics below are culled from the Merck Manual for Healthcare Professionals, but serve only as a nonspecific guide. Your sister's oncologist is in the best person to discuss her treatment plan and prognosis.

If primary ovarian cancer is treated before it has spread beyond a single ovary, the 5 year survival rate is above 90%. The survival rate is lower within more advanced cases.

The long term survival rate for metastatic colon cancer is 20%.
