Help: where on earth to find cheap cancer drug?
My sister has asked about the following medicine for the treatment of
Mabthera: Rituximab Injection
manufactured by F.Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd
500 mg/50 mL and 100 mg/10 mL
I got the following price online before:
MABTHERA (RITUXIMAB) 100MG VIAL GENERIC: $1177.99
MABTHERA (RITUXIMAB) 100MG FLACON: $1774.99
hera Sol Perf 10mg/ml 2amp 10ml
Roche Pharma
Price contained by SFr. $1,048.15
In particular, my sister would like to know any possible low price and whether this drug requirements prescription.
Answers: If ur sister has cancer
i would rather buy the best possible
er than be cheap and risk buying a deceptive
but there usually the same price
unlesss u buy it illegally
Yes, this drug requirements a prescription and, she needs to get it from a reputable pharmacy. There are no cheap drugs to treat cancer because the are so specialized. And, her oncologist will prescribe what is necessary to treat this. She can ring all of the pharmacies in her area once she have the prescription and ask what the price of this RX might be before so goes in to cram it. Many of these drugs need to be given IV so she does not have the choice of where the drug comes from - the facility giving the med make the choice. She needs to talk more with her oncologist just about this. Source(s): Health care provider
All drugs need a prescription in the US; unless they are over the counter, which chemo drugs are not. There are also some legalities with purchasing within one country & shipping overseas to another person (as you would then be literally "furnishing"). If she can't afford her meds, she needs to contact the drug companies. Many own plans where by those who can not afford them get them free or cheaper. This is better than trolling the web. Source(s): ER PA
I would reccommend that you call the drug companies and tell them your situation, and ask them if they can provide this drug free or at a lower price.
I seen on a TV. Commercial that some drug manufacture will help you get the drug you are needing if you cant afford to buy it.
