He's trying to quit. He has been chewing that gum. He is human after all and subject to making dumb decision like anyone else who have bad conduct. Being the president doesn't exclude him from that but at least he's trying to set a good example and quit. I hope he makes it. I smoked for abundant years. Not any more though. It's hard to quit. Yeah, smoking is stupid but when someone picks up a cigarette, they don't think of the consequences. I've heard so tons new smokers say, "I can quit any time." NO, they don't So, lets support Obama and pray he does quit. That will be one of the most powerful examples he can set for young-looking kids who want to smoke. Source(s): RN former smoker.
