3 Year infirm near swollen lymph node and ear infection?
My daughter said her ear hurt one night, and we gave her motrin, then the subsequent day she had a knot astern her ear. I took her to a dr. (not her normal dr) and he said that it was a lymph node and it was because he looked contained by her ear and said it was swollen and buldging, but for some reason i dont trust that. I am just paranoid i guess, but im in recent times wanting everyones opinion. It is still swollen and shes been on antibiotic for two days. Does anyone think she may enjoy some kind of childhood cancer?
Answers: Go to webmd.com and go to the symptom. You can check all the symptoms she have and it will give you possible diagnosis. I hope everything goes well!!
The most common make happen of swollen lymph nodes is when the body is fighting any sort of infection. So this is most likely due to the ear infection. It can take several weeks for a swollen lymph node to return pay for to normal size, even when the infection is being treated with antibiotics.
s with the sole purpose natural to worry about your children's vigour, but you need to wait for the antibiotics to start working properly. Two days is just not plenty. If the lymph node is still there after the infection has cleared, then move about to see your doctor again
All the very best
It is normal in ear infections for lymph nodes to become swollen. They are doing what they be designed to do by trying to prevent the infection from spreading elsewhere in the body. Give the antibiotics a chance to work. My son suffered from chronic ear infections as a young child, terminated up with tubes in his ears and had enlarged lymph nodes for several years after. He is a on form 20 year old now.
