I am acceptance a steriod every 21 days contained by my iv when I am have my chemo treatment. Will this bring me to?

Answers: When my Brother went through this treatment he did gain weight, but it was more bloating. It affects some more than others......... other thinking of you Lucky :)
I'm sure it depends on what steroid and how long you will be on the steroids. I've been on lofty dose steroids for a few months now along with my chemo treatments and now we're have issues getting off of them steroids because my brain starts to swell every time we decrease. I just started a clinical trial run beside with my chemo and avastin to help ween me off the steroids, but they are axiom it will be another month before I can fully ween off. I've been moody, intake non stop, round faced, put on weight, and now I've broken out surrounded by acne all over my face.....they say this is because it be the high doses and being left on them for so long. I be on a very small dose of steroids after brain surgery and radiation which did pretty much nothing. I would talk to your doctor in the region of all of your concerns and the possibilities. The wrose part for me has be watching my body physically change and going through the emotional factors of mortal on steroids and knowing that I'm not myself, but not being able to do anything about it. Don't verbs, you can lose any gained weight later. For very soon, concentrate on the fact that the chemo's fighting your cancer
Not gonna slouch or sugar coat it for ya, hon. Especially if it's a 100mg bolus, which is what they usually use in an IV. It's necessary, though, to keep inflammation at fjord.

Depends how much it is...it could. May make you hyper and more hungry. Again...depends how much it is.

I gained about about 20-30 pounds from the steroids mixed surrounded by the chemo, and about another 30 while on high dose steroids after treatment.
They say that if you exercise and survey your diet you can minimize the weight gain, but during cancer treatment I wasnt interested in any of that.
But, its better for your health right immediately to gain weight rather than loose weight, which is why they are giving you steroids.
I really don't know hun....how about I give you a BIG HUG instead?....
