I imagine my mom have skin cancer?
She's been pretty upfront with it, as in, she's told me that she's have to get like areas removed to prevent it.
Is it a good sign that she's getting areas removed? Doesn't that have it in mind she's stopping it before it happens? Please let me know.

They inject you with a local anesthetic, remove the nouns, and you're free to go home. It's sore for a few days after, and might leave a scar, but it heal pretty quickly.
