How do I coordinate a cancer stroll?
I am one person, not a group or anything, but I want to organize a charity walk/run in my relatively small town. I own a close friend that after 12 years had leukemia coming back and want to do something not just for her, but for everyone artificial by cancer. It has touched my life in far to tons ways in the past couple years. Any good accepted wisdom or how-to guides or even from personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

my area even though I am wheel stool bound.
Get some friends to help you first stale, it can't be a one person job. Go around to different companies, explain what you are doing, and get them to sponsor you or donate some money. Sponsors will usually furnish you a certain amount of money corresponding to the amount of people that show up. Next advertise around your local nouns, depending on how big you want the walk to be. Put up commercials, flyers, newspaper adds, but breed them at least a month in advance. Once relatives show up for the event, and after the event is over, go back to the sponsors for the money, and donate it to a charity fighting cancer.
