It's not necessarily gone. It may be that it hadn't descended properly. When an embryo is forming, they start off in the groin region and then descend into the scrotum. It's relatively common in baby boys to hold one or both testicles still in their groin, and they are 'relocated' quite easily by especially minor surgery. You may need to get this done. But you have to see your doctor.
