ounds like you're worried, so therefore step to a doctor.
At 16 it is highly unlikely that you have breast cancer.
The unyielding sore lump thing on the outside sounds like the areola, i think that's how you spell it! We adjectives have them, it's a sort of disc in your breast.
Having one breast larger than the other is normal.
Speak to your mum and catch her to take you to the Doctor, so he/she can explain to you properly what to look for when examining your breasts.
Stop worrying, you're ok.
You nouns like a Hypochondriac! Settle down. It's very unlikely that you have breast cancer at your age. It is also majority for one breast to be bigger than another during pupity.
At that age cancer or a cyst is highly unlikely! What your feeling may be your areola. Many women do not have duplicate exact breast size, my wife don't. When you get your regular checkup, you can always have your breasts examined!
The chances of breast cancer at 16 are very, really close to zero.
almost unheard of in under 20s, and within fact fewer than 0.1% of all those diagnosed beside it are under 30 and only 5% are under 40. Most (80%) are over 50.

When I be diagnosed with breast cancer I was classed as 'young'; I was 50.

It is perfectly normal for one breast to be slightly larger than the other. At your age your breasts are still growing and developing and what you describe is almost indubitably hormonal

There's no need for you to be examining your breasts at your age. The American Cancer Society and other cancer organisations recommend that women begin breast self examination at the age of 20. Before that it's pointless; firstly because in attendance are so many hormonal changes that there is no 'normal' - and self nouns is about a woman knowing what's normal for her and reporting any changes. And secondly because the accidental of breast cancer is almost nil.

Talk to your mother about this; if you don't feel comfortable doing that, talk to your college nurse when schooll reopens. She will be used to girls having worries like this and will be able to reassure you Source(s): hold had breast cancer
