A few question for Lymphoma patients/survivors/people that know just about Lymphoma.?
When you started to suspect Lymphoma, what made you suspect it? What symptoms did you get?
big was your biggest lymph node?
What did they surface like?
Did they move?
How long did you have them before you go to the doctors?

When my Mother was diagnosed next to Hodgkin's Lymphoma about a year ago, now, she had lost going on for 15 pounds, randomly. She is a nurse, and she found a lump on her neck, and she knew it be a lymph node, it wasn't big at all, just popped out a bit and swollen a tad. It turned out she went to her physician, and they sent her surrounded by for scans and labs.
She was diagnosed with stage 2/3. ( It be stage 2, but possibly below the diaphragm, they didn't know ) Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
underwent 12 Cycles of ABVD ( Adryamycin, Bleomycin, Vinblastine, and Dcarbazine ( SP ) chemotherapy and 20 radiation therapy treatments and was declared cancer-free, or contained by complete remission/cured, in April.
Her first follow-up is next wednesday. I'm praying.
In most cases lymphoma has very few or vague symptoms to set off with. My lymphoma was found "accidentally" after a CT scan was ordered for abdominal affliction suspected to be caused by appendicitis. At this point I had no symptoms at all.
About a month after I saw the enlarged lymph node, I went to the doctor for it. I should enjoy gone sooner. I was diagnosed with a case of Hodgkin's lymphoma that have been there a while. I had 5 artificial lymph nodes, although you could only see the one. The largest one was in the center of my chest and be close to 7 inches - It's amazing I couldn't feel it.
They were able to take rid of it, and I'm healthy now. I went through deeply of treatments that Hodgkin's patients don't usually need to face because, since it had be overlooked for so long, the disease was hard to treat successfully.
he initial stage, lymphoma has no signs or symptoms.
Usually, accidentally found an enlarge node, can be cervical (neck), groin, beneath the arms.
It feel rubbery and move a little bit. But painless. It can be as big as a golf ball. As small as a green pea. Usually multiple.
To confirm diagnosis, is by biopsy, means, rob out a small piece of tissue and look under the microscope.
