A friend have a short time ago have his right thyroid lobe removed. It be the size of an red. Should I be concerned?

-Background:a thyroid scan revealed cold nodules (multinodular)
if the person have half their thyroid removed, and there is no cancer found, then they may not even entail medication, and they should simply be monitored for life...a yearly exam. nodules can stay as they are, or turn cancerous, which is why sometimes they recommend removing them. your friend may never become hypo, but they should know the symptoms in armour that developes later in life. also, if the character is female, it will be important to check levels up to that time trying to become pregnant. the diagnosis is what is key...but there are 4 kinds of thyroid cancer and two of them are incredibly very survivable. so if that diagnosis comes back, knowledge is power. I enjoy survived 3 years with no expectation in a change within my life expectancy. by the way, the scar may have a feeling a bit tight as it heals, but that will go away. and remember to use sun screen on the blotch especially the first year, so it does not discolor. mine cannot even be seen, it looks like a crease in my d¨Ścolletage.
