1 doctor diagnosed ms another disagrees say stir to ucla for second evaluation?

First doctor says i have ms (technically diagnosed with RRMS, but dr also mentioned benign Atypical ms within his diagnosis). HMO forced me to see new Dr. 3 months after initial diagnosis. HMO dr's first questions was "why are you here"? My symptoms are too lots to list enitrely here but needless to say they are within line with MS. HMO dr. said he didnt think i have ms, but had never looked at any of the other info from original dr (MRIs, nerve conductivity studies, etc.) He glance at the MRI's while we were sitting in office. Says he requests to send me to UCLA for an unbiased second opinion, because he does not believe i own MS. I dont mind going to UCLA, but what can that accomplish? Started avonex but not sure if i should still take it. First doctor prescribed it second says dont take till you get hold of second opinion from UCLA. Please help!!
Answers:    You are leaving something influential out of your statement, as this isn’t logical and appears to be more legal based than medical..
does an HMO “force” you to see another doctor? For what?
Aren’t both doctors beside the same HMO?
Going to UCLA is a third opinion not a second and why is it necessary to budge there for an “unbiased” opinion? Why is this doctor unconcerned and biased?
A second opinion will not hurt. It may even aid better define the most effective treatment plan for you.

Best wishes for an accurate diagnosis and beneficial treatment.
