I do have macmillan go once a week and within not coming this week with it being a bank holiday so i cant ask them what they expect i should start to do any advice would be great thanks
Answers: You are apparently worried this weekend, and think you can't contact anyone over the Bank Holiday weekend.
ve the greatest admiration for Macmillan and Marie Curie nurses, so suspect that they are following procedures which they haven't have time to explain to you.
However, have you tried phoning the ward in the hospital where your Grandmother be treated? There should be people there over this weekend, and you could explain to them your worries. There should have be a specialist nurse who would have looked after her, but if she is not on duty, ask to speak to the nurse in charge - explain your worries - and ask their advice.
Good luck.

I love it when people approaching you ask these questions because it shows how much love you have for this person. I am so severely sorry about your grandmother. I hope I can answer your question to your satisfaction. First of adjectives, care givers wash her face because she may own a fever. A fever causes her facade to feel hot and I'm sure they're doing it to cool her down. As far as her not waking, it may be the meds she's on. I don't know what she's taking, but I'm sure she is on pain meds and near pancreatic cancer, they would be strong meds. She's breathing and you can know that she is comfortable because the pain from pancreatic cancer is horrible, so I'm sure it's the pain meds making her sleep and for a short time, she is not have pain. It sounds like you live in England, Am I correct? Oh, those women who wipe her face, I don't think they're trying to wake her, It's resembling I said, she must have a very warm facade and maybe even sweating. Don't worry, she wakes contained by the morning and has had a good darkness sleep. That's good. I don't know what Macmillan is but either way, own you thought of hospice? They take care of home bound cancer patients and that's all they do. They are so perfect at it too. they give the best care. I don't think you find any nurse who give better care for a cancer patient than a hospice nurse. I admire them tremendously. Something I could not do. Keep on one with your grandmother. You are her support right now and I can tell you're especially concerned and love her so much. I wish you the best and I pray your grandmother has comfort and peace. You will both be in my prayers. God bless you for individual so wonderful to her. Source(s): RN (retired) Breast cancer survivor
Is she on medication to control pain? Morphine type pain nouns is likely to make her very sleepy and drowsy and difficult to stir up, especially if she'd just had a dose. Did the carers wash her frontage to try and wake her up or try and make her feel comfortable? Washing her facade may have been to cool her down, or to wet her mouth or relieve discomfort. I'm sorry you're having to go through this-I hope your grandma is comfortable. It might be worthwhile telephoning the local hospice for counsel if you can't get through to the district nurses-the palliative care teams at the hospice own a huge amount of experience in this.
