A worthy friend have get advanced stage cancer and she have lost her appetite, if she doesnt devour soon she...?
won't be able to have her final lot of treatment. Is there anything that she could enjoy to stimulate her appetite as she won't eat much at all and things are not looking good.
going distribute you my fathers recipe for a nutrition shake,
2 cups of real ice cream( check the bag for the words Iced Milk. If you see them look for another brand).
2 cups of whole milk.
p of any fruit you choose. Oranges, pineapple, apple, nectarine, quince etc.
I egg.
Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend for one minute. Pour into chilled goggles or water bottles with straws. Enjoy.
Commercially prepared supplements like Boost or Ensure are a good perception too. Also you may want to ask her Doctor about the advisability of letting your friend have a small glass of wine once contained by a while. Source(s): http://www.cancer.ca/canada-wide/publica…

HI KMing
such a horrible time. I'm going through chemotherapy for cancer now (in Australia too), and within were times when I completely lost my appetite and I lost a lot of weight.
I deliberate all you can do is keep trying different foods.
But when I was really sick, I couldn't eat anything at all for in the order of 9 days...
The chemotherapy would be destroying your friend's taste buds too, so that would make a lot of food even more unappetising. Perhaps try a feathery chicken soup, or just leave a couple of fantastic noodles with her which she'll know how to make up without much effort. They aren't the most nutritious food, but it may be adjectives she feels like.
, things like a intact apple or pear can seem unappetising, but if you chop it up into thin slices, it becomes much more appealing. Don't ask her if she desires it, just chop it up and offer it :). I often didn't want foods but would pick at them if they be small and just put in front of me.
Good on you for looking after your friend - I'm sure she appreciates it a lot.
HIgh calorie foods are what she needs to focus on. If she can put away a few scoops of ice cream or drink a milk shake, then that's 500 calories right nearby.
wishes.
i lost my appetite to when i had cancer, so to make things easier on me i had vastly light meals like try making her get through some salad or a few pieces of fruit or some yogurt also i live in australia too and there is this great drink that is sold at most supermarkets its call sustagen it is this powder that you mix in with milk and drinking a glass of that equals to resembling eating a meal, it helped me alot and brought backbone alot of strengh to my body and make sure she doesn't eat much fatty foods as they may cause her to lose her appetite even more than she already have.
I hope your friend gets better soon! good luck
Could you try and tempt her with some home made soup with filmy slices of toast or bread and butter, milk pudding, real fruit jelly with a good rime cream?
A couple of sweet biscuits with a drink on a pretty tray, a small slice of sponge cake, dainty sandwiches with honey if she like sweet stuff or a savoury spread.
Tasty tempting little bits presented with care, sit and own a some with her.
milk with a drop of brandy in might minister to - and don't forget good quality chocolate too, a few squares now and after.
You may not make her eat, but you could possibly tempt her to. Think what you like you when you quality ill.
Perhaps she would let you be with her when she see her doctor(s), they might have some advice.
I have heard that bananas are great to put away when you dont feel like eating but you inevitability to. Also, maybe you could try to cook up something that is her comfort food, she might respond to that.
