In general . . any painless, unexplained lump or bump over 2cm that seem to be growing should be examined by your doctor to rule out cancer. Your age and the location of the lumps places you at risk for a type of cancer called sarcoma. There are about 60 subtypes of sarcoma that can affect the bones, the muscles, the ligaments, joints, blood vessel, fat, and soft tissue in the body. It is a disease that can strike children, teens, and young adults . . so it is considerable that you go to your doctor. Hopefully this will turn out to be nothing.

If it is more serious, you don't want to delay. My daughter was diagnosed near AML Leukemia when she was 4. After 5 rounds of chemo (6 months in the hospital), she was surrounded by remission for 3 1/2 years. Last summer, she relapsed. The only sign when she relapsed were two small, movable lumps on the surface of her left leg.
