I would resembling to donated my liver for a transplant HELP ADVICE How much will citizens settle up for a liver?
I have just turned 18 years old and i am stout and have a rare blood type ( O- negitive ) someone very close to me passed away from liver cancer 4 years ago and i would close to to sell my liver to someone who needs one for a transplant.(i do not know of anyone who needs one but im sure in that are thousands of people who need one.) i have hear the liver is the only organ that can grow back so if i donate half of mine it will grow put money on in 3 months and the other half will save a existence and will grow to full size. if anyone has any information about this please let me know of risks and give or take a few the proceedure, your oppinion on this situation also how much a liver is worth (how much to sell it for)and how to go about donating my liver. and yes merely thinking about this scares me but its nothing compared to how worried ppl are with a bad liver who are just thinking if they are going to fashion it or not. i know that if i can give someone a chance at life its worth it.
Answers: In case you havnt figured it out yet, you dont acquire paid for donating organs. The ONLY thing you would get is a thank you, and your medical costs remunerated for by the insurance of the patient.
ou would still like to donate after that knowledge, sign up for the living donor registry.
If you really want to give a hand people, sign up for the marrow registry. Donating marrow is far easier today. In fact, most donations arent even actual marrow, they are peripheral blood stem cell. Even if you do donate actual marrow, its done under general anesthesia. And the proceedure is lil risk to you, but can help someone live a better enthusiasm. There are a lot of people out there who stipulation the transplant, but dont have a matched donor.

could also donate blood regularly. That is lil effort from you and helpful to several people. Most hospitals barely have satisfactory blood on hand to cover a day or two at most, so its needed. I think the plasma centers are still paying for plasma if you are looking for money (but some of them enjoy turned to giving out coupons and stuff like that instead of cash lately).
As other people in recent times said that is illegal but you can donate your liver.
when donating a liver, they take (i suppose) partly or a portion of your liver, which replaces their old liver.
You wouldn't die, because you still have some left but your time may be significantly shortened, but you should be fine if you lived healthily.
But no doctor would agree to selling your liver, and you would get in trouble with the police. Don't put on the market, donate (if you really want to)
It's illegal to SELL organs.
fine to donate.
This being is looking to sell his liver.
It is illegal to put on the market human organs. No doctor or hospital will engage in such activity, but they will report you to the police.
hermore, you can't live lacking your liver. If it is taken out then you will immediately die.
One of my nieces have a rare liver disease. I'll tell you what she did. First of all, the receiver will be out of work as well as the donor. She had a huge fund raiser to help take-home pay the donor. He was a live donor. And yes, you're correct, the liver is the only organ in our bodies that will grow vertebrae. Both will have to go through a lot of test before they will consider the transplant. So you will receive a lot of money if you donate your liver to a dying patient. Mind you, here are a lot of risks involved with any surgery. I think what you're doing is great jester and I quality you want to save a life because you lost a good friend to liver disease. It have been 5 yrs since my niece had her transplant and she's doing great. So is the donor. It cost a lot of money for this procedure because insurance won't cover any of it which I have an idea that is rotten. My niece works for Mohegan Sun and it was so great because at the fund raiser, her boss came to the restaurant in a limo and hand her a check for $5,000. It was so touching. She didn't care if she had no money after surgery because she be so grateful to the donor. He got a good amount of money because he was out of work as all right. It takes a special person to donate an organ to anyone. I applaud you, God bless you. Oh, you should put your name and blood type on the national register so they will know right away if you're a possible clash. Someone is going to be in your debt for life.
ADD I just read adjectives the other answers. When you put yourself on the national register for organs, it is NOT illegal. My husband is on the national register. How else do you think they find live donors. It's only iffy if done without being on the register. Don't listen to them. You have a angelic reason to want to save a life. My niece would be motionless today if it wasn't for her live donor. I think all those other ppl who said it's illegal, should look into it. My gosh, You will store a life, You are doing it because of loosing your friend. It's obvious you don't want someone else to die because no one would donate. I know what I'm conversation about. Just put yourself on the register and all will be legal. Good luck
ADD To Midnight, I'm sorry, but you are wrong. The character that donated half his liver to my niece was compensated greatly. That's why she had the fund raiser etc. He be paid for all the days he was out of work as powerfully as his medical bills. So the donor gets more than just a "thank you". Source(s): RN
