Can u die if ur appendix bursts?
there is this little girl i know and her appendix just burst and she is in the hospital presently is she gonna die?
Answers: shes gonna b fine.... burst of appendix will result in hemorrhage( internal blood loss)..now the severity of blood loss will determine her condition.....but in most cases close to this..patient will recover fastly
One of the complications of appendicitis is if the appendix ruptures before it can be removed surgically. When the appendix is infected it can "burst" & infection can spread into the abdomen. This is intermittent & usually children do well after the surgery is done & they are put on intravenous antibiotics to kill the infection. She will stay in the hospital until she completes the antibiotics & she get better which is why it is important for her to complete the drug routine there. She has a righteous prognosis. Probably not. Mine burst and I'm still here. Long ago, it could kill you. And if treatment was very deferred, it could kill her. But most likely with a ton of antibiotics she will be fine. They will thieve it out, clean up the abdomen and give her prescription. I was in the hospital for five days.
