A relative be of late diagnosed near Lung Cancer?

My sister who is only 53 years old was just now diagnosed with lung cancer. My siblings have kept me in the grey because we have lost both of our parents to this same cancer and I am the youngest. Guess they thought I could not handle it. While it is devastatingly hard, I needed to know. My interview is this, when I told my boss I needed a day off and why he asked, "Is it the bad lung cancer or the giving that can be cured?" I don't know the difference. Can anyone enlighten me?
Answers:    Cancer cannot be "cured" as such. when a person suffers from cancer they are treated. the treatment they go through kill the cancer cells. the patient has not be "cured" of the cancer but instead the cancer cell have been removed by a series of chemical etc treatments. without these treatments the cancer cell would multiple and take over the body eventually.
he case of you sister and what your boss said, when cancer cell are found early on they can be treated early therefore increasing the likelihood of survival. usually when cancer is found at a late stage it is no longer localised to the area it once began within, it has usually spread and that makes it very difficult for the long-suffering to be treated and great reduces there chances of survival.

if you sisters cancer be found in an early stage they will suggest to her to start a course of chemotherapy or radiotherapy to kill those cell so as to stop them from spreading any further.
