A 17 year old's cancer startle?

My 17 year old friend has weird lumpy/hard/ lots in her breasts. They seem to encompass the entire breast, and are both similar in size and texture. They dont hurt or bother her, except while on and back her period. She told me her breasts have felt close to this since they started growing but has been too scared to communicate anyone about it. She won't tell her parents or even a doctor, so if anyone has any information that could assist without having to actually touch the heaps, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Answers:     Breast tissue is by its outlook lumpy.
ome people this is more pronounced than others.

Given both breasts are the same, they have be like this since they started to develop and they react to her menstrual cycle, this is probably normal for her breasts.

signs and symptoms you describe seem to be to me like it is a fibrocystic change (look it up!!). it is benign. But nevertheless, you need to catch a mammogram done, just to be on the safe side.

These fibrocystic changes are markedly common, and they tend to enlarge during menses. There is another common benign tumour of the breast that affects young girls, call fibroadenoma. This is highly mobile (sometimes known as the mouse tumour or something like that)..and also have a smooth surface, while the previous one has a rougher surface.
this is what i remember from med school!! =)
Also, fatty cysts are quite common.

Hope this helps.
Hi:
re her period. And both sides are the same.
She is merely 17 which means she is late teens.

We women as we enter our teen years have a problem
We have what are call Mamore glands. They are
also known as milk ducts. These are the glands that
fill with milk when we own children. But for about 5
week past the cycle starts and go down as we
finish our periods.

We also have lymph nodes within our chest area that go
. sometimes these also swell. These are the ones
that if you get breast cancer it attaches its self to the
lymph-node. But this is rare before age 25. So if you
hold a family history of breast cancer I recommend at
hey are now doing blood work to check for dna marker
to see if you have the genetic markers for breast cancer.
also know as HER 1 2 or 3 markers.

g woman. So go out and delight she is
growing up as all women should.

As okay as I was young once.
go to a doctor!!1
Cysts are very common in childlike adults because of their hormones. it's probaly nothing, so tell her not to freak out. Just go to the doctor to spawn sure it's just normal hormonal cysts. If it is something bad, it would be calamitous for her to wait to get it checked out-because most cancer is treatable when caught EARLY. Like I said, most young girls enjoy benign cysts that are nothing to worry about.
